Elaine Tarsh BACP Accredited Counsellor
My name is Elaine Tarsh. I am a Relate trained couples counsellor, sex therapist and sex and porn addiction therapist with 17 years’ experience. I work with individuals, couples and partners.
I began working with porn and sex addiction because I could see the detrimental impact it was having on people’s lives and their relationships. During relationship counselling it was an often cited reason for couples to run into problems. Frequently people didn’t understand their behaviour and why they continued to behave in ways that caused them such difficulties.
Professional Bodies
I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC). I provide sex therapy, relationship and couple counselling, as well as specialist porn addiction therapy.
How I work
Each client is an individual requiring a treatment programme that is unique to them. I help clients to recover and move on, feel more comfortable in their lives and build and maintain happier and healthier relationships.
I provide a professional, non-judgmental and confidential service. The first appointment is assessment based to allow you to get to know me, and for me to see if I can help you. My approach is compassionate, positive and practical. I aim to help you to understand your addiction, to see the impact it is having on you and those close to you, and to find practical ways to overcome it.
I know, from experience, that deciding to seek counselling for online porn addiction or sex addiction can be challenging and I aim to make the process as easy, accessible and comfortable as possible.
I offer a free 15 minute no obligation introductory call. This is not counselling, but an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and see if the way that I work will suit you at this time. If you are thinking about counselling get in touch so we can find a time to meet on a call or online.
